Vocal Toning

for Relaxation & Healing

We live in an exciting age of abundant and effective holistic healing tools.

Vocal toning is one of the simplest self-care tools available to us today. Best of all, it can easily be practiced on a daily basis without much of a time commitment. It is a great way to reduce stress and rebalance your body’s energy system.

What Is It?

Simple vocal toning exercises are done by making elongated vowel sounds with the voice, and balancing them with periods of silence. This technique uses vibrational energy to correct imbalances in the body’s natural energy system. It is one of the easiest and most useful of the holistic healing tools.

Through the use of voice, we can release negative emotions such as anger, fear, worry, frustration, and grief, as well as express and amplify our positive emotions. Our ancestors used chanting and singing for a variety of purposes, including a form of holistic healing.

The Body’s Energy System

Everything in the universe is made up of tiny sub-atomic particles that vibrate at various frequencies. We are at our healthiest when the cells of our body are vibrating at their optimal levels. When the body is out of balance, our cells begin to vibrate at slower rates, and cause us to feel sluggish and unhealthy, and over a prolonged period of time, can set the stage for the development of disease.

Regular practice can help realign the body’s energy system in a simple and non-invasive manner. It can be used as a basic, simple self-care practice, or it can be developed into more advanced sound therapy.

Health Benefits

Besides holistic healing, toning can promote a basic sense of improved well-being, and can be used to combat stress and overwhelm. Vocal toning tends to have a peaceful, soothing effect that can help us focus on present-moment living, and is an excellent complimentary practice to meditation.
